The Information Systems Security Association is an international professional body for information security personnel. ISSA has been in operation for 25 years as a volunteer-driven organisation, beginning in the United States and now representing over 10,000 members in 70 countries. ISSA Ireland is the Irish chapter of ISSA and was formed in 2003 to provide training, development and networking opportunities for Irish information security professionals.

ISSA Events
The main activity of ISSA Ireland is our programme of chapter events which are held on a regular basis and primarily in Dublin city centre. Our events vary in format but are typically either a lunchtime or evening seminar with one or more local experts addressing a topic related to information security.

In 2008 we held 6 events including 4 chapter meetings in Dublin, a regional event in Limerick and a special half-day seminar in Dublin. So far this year we have held 2 half-day seminars and a special event with Microsoft. You can read more about these on our events page which is also where you'll find details of future meetings.

If you would like details of future ISSA events and other initiatives please join our mailing list via the subscription form on the right. You should also be aware that certain events are open only to members or may have an additional charge for non-members. Information on joining ISSA can be found here.
